Baths
Probably the first item people look at when choosing a bathroom suite is the bath as it acts as the focus of the room.
There are a whole host of sizes, styles, materials and extras to consider when choosing baths with a corresponding wide variation in price. The most popular material for baths to be made out of is fibreglass-reinforced acrylic and the most common size, which is regarded as standard, is 1700mm x 700mm or 5'6" x 2'6" in imperial (approx). These also tend to be the cheapest baths.
There are, however, much smaller baths and also much larger ones than these. Baths can also be made from a variety of different materials including:
- enamelled cast iron
- enamelled steel
- ABS
- resin-bonded stone
- wood
The wide variety of shapes and sizes can make buying a bath a bit of a challenge but nearly all fall into one of three categories: straight baths, freestanding baths or corner baths. We have details on all three styles together with links to online retailers.
