Ceramic Wall Tiles

Ceramic tiles are still the most popular choice of bathroom wall covering in the UK, and with some very cheap tiles on the market, they will probably remain so for the foreseeable future.

The main disadvantage of ceramic tiles is that the grout used to fill in between the tiles can get mouldy due to condensation. Installing and extractor fan in the bathroom will help reduce the amount of condensation and can help reduce mould growth.

Walls require a fair degree of preparation before ceramic ceramic bathroom tiles can be fitted - as any imperfections will tend to show through - especially with mosaic tiles. If your bathroom walls are very uneven you could consider installing waterproof wall panelling instead (which are also available with a mosaic tile effect).
