HOMEPAGE BATHROOMS SHOWERS ACCESSORIES BATHROOM DESIGN FLOORS & WALLS

Small Bathroom Tile

This ultra-modern bathroom design has been set-off beautifully with a choice of small ceramic tiles These are rectangular in shape and a natural stone colour They have been fitted horizontally right around the room and encompass the over bath area which in this setting is also used for showering.

The tiles used are not much larger than those used for a mosaic effect, and consequently there is a large amount of grout used relative to the tiled area. It is essential that there is adequate ventilation in this sort of setting as it would be no fun trying to re-grout this room if mould took hold within the grout. A band of darker tiles, same size and shape are used for contrast and run around the room just below window level.

It would appear that the wall at the end of the bath has been built out to the level of the edge of the bath. This has meant that the shower mixer valve can be recessed into the wall and all of the associated pipework buried resulting in an extremely neat appearance. A small tiled recess has also been built into this area. The wall has been extended past the bath at half-height to provide a shelf area and more in-wall storage as can be seen behind the basin. The basin itself is also a rectangular design ,as is the monoblock tap,and fits in nicely with the neat, geometric lines of the bathroom tiles and the room in general.

A concealed shower curtain system has been attached directly to the bathroom tiles - the chrome box fitted vertically at the edge of the bath (see the following page for more information on the Outasight concealed shower curtain). This has helped maintain the clean, crisp lines required for a pleasing visual effect.
