Shower Bath and Glass Screen
One of the main problems facing householders looking to fit a shower cubicle into their home is one of space - most UK bathrooms are not large enough to accommodate th a bath and a cubicle.
One solution is to fit a shower bath. Although not a perfect solution they do offer a little more room at the showering end of the bath than would be available in a standard straight bath. There is a shower screen that curves around the rounded end of the bath which keeps the water inside and is usually pivotable to make cleaning and access to the taps and shower fittings easier.
The screens on many shower baths do not run very far along the bath so some splashing outside of the bath area can be expected especially if a power shower is fitted. Some screens cover a greater area than others so check before you buy to ensure you don't end up with a soaking wet floor.
There are some shower baths on the market with a two piece folding bath screen which creates and all around enclosure which are as effective as a shower cubicle for spray protection but these are not that common and are quite expensive in comparison. Saying that, they perform two jobs at once so compared with buying a bath and a cubicle they might be better value than they first appear.
